Mark Corroto, adopted the moniker FaGaGaGa after the dada artist Max Ernst term Fatagaga (“Fabrication de tableaux garantis gazométriques”)Interested in alternative music since the 80’s and also working as a Jazz critiques he became interested in mail-art in the late 80’s.He organised several mail-artprojects and travelled through Europe with his future wife Melinda Otto in 1991.Ray Johnson wrote a letter to their dog Izzy. Ray died in 1995 and the Corroto’s organized the Fake Ray Johnson week-end for the mail-artists who came tovisit Columbus OHio for the retrospective of Ray Johnson at the Wexner in 2000.
