Venice Ballet

Venice/Ballet was the first mail art project created by Fierens Luc in 1985 after a trip to Biennale of Venice in 1984. “Ballet” since suggests the change occurred, the intellectual movement, the cognitive effort inherent the movement he has accomplished. This project was initiated not only to collect material for the zine Parallel but also in order to prove how a “decentralized art project” could be realized starting from the little and provincial town of Mechelen (Belgium). In 1991 the project was entirely donated to the Museum of Ejsk (Russia), at that time managed by the visual poets Nikonova Rea and Segay Serge.
